Oprah Book Club Dinner

Tonight was our Oprah Book Club dinner to celebrate finishing East of Eden. We ate at Portofino's, and it was fancy schmancy. We all dressed up, and some people wore hats. I drank merlot, and dined on scampi. I have never had a souffle' (sp?) until this evening. I love my Oprah Book Club. We have picked our own book for the next time we meet, and it is The Last Girls by Lee Smith. Oh, we had an empty seat for Oprah; but she didn't show up.
